Executive Summary
The client is a subsidiary of an international market leader in helmet-mounted displays. They have 25+ years of experience in developing AR (Augmented Reality) products for avionics. The client was looking to deploy their patented AR technology in smartglasses for consumers of the fitness industry. The objective behind developing AR-enabled smartglasses was to provide real-time information to cyclists, triathletes, and riders for enhanced and engaging riding experience and help them become more efficient, fit and fast riders.
The client wanted a platform that was small enough to fit in a pair of glasses and which had compute capabilities necessary to display real-time data such as route navigation, time, distance, speed, and heart rate through on-lens projection displays with low power consumption.
eInfochips proposed a custom single board compute solution based on Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 410E embedded platform, a product of Qualcomm Technologies, Inc., to empower this product. We took the complete ownership of product development, including hardware design and firmware development.
