Executive Summary
The client is a global leader in the fields of biometric authentication and payments security. The client was facing challenges with developing a gaming terminal. They wanted to develop a system which can easily be customized and scaled to meet the specific point of sale requirements. To achieve this, they were looking for an experienced partner who uses mature processes and provide a single point of contact.
Since 2014, eInfochips has been involved in delivering the gaming terminal solutions based on NXP i.MX 6 series processor. These customizable and scalable gaming terminals have memory with multiple peripherals and interfaces support along with a smart card reader and anti-tamper switch functionality.
The client was mainly looking for board bring-up and SDK development for their product. Later on, eInfochips helped the client in extending that product line by adding a new variant with the complete product development. A couple of years later, we also supported them in design and development of Web-Access on two new platforms by which terminal can be controlled/configured remotely. The client was delighted to have Embedded Linux with one of the features supported for the very first time on their existing platform. We have also continuously supported them for bug reporting and improvement activities. The final version of firmware was successfully delivered along with required documentation.
