The client is a leading manufacturer of IT infrastructure equipment, based in the USA. Their Power Distribution Units (PDUs) provide advanced power distribution with optional network monitoring and controllable outlets. The company also manufactures intelligent power distribution product for enterprise data centers, which connects to a browser based software that interacts with each PDU. The client was facing a higher test cycle time with multi browser manual testing and insufficient test coverage for SNMP (application layer protocol) testing. In addition, there was a lack of adequate testing process.

eInfochips designed a test automation framework using Python, Selenium, and Pytest. The team consulted and setup appropriate test management process for SNMP automation along with multi browser testing by introducing the right tools. eInfochips also led the DevOps implementation by building the continuous integration and offered agility with test execution over the cloud. As a result, the automation coverage increased to approximately 97% and test coverage increased by 40%. Automation led to a direct reduction in test cycle time by 80%.
