eInfochips’ Snapbricks Cloud Migration Assessment Framework (SCMAF) is designed to assist customers in evaluating their on-premise application(s) and workloads for cloud migration.
With proven methodologies and tools, our cloud experts engage with clients in a two-phase process:
In the first phase, an objective assessment for cloud migration is carried out in two weeks. A migration suitability analysis that helps determine the readiness of each application and prioritizes them for migration to the cloud is carried out.
Key Offerings
- In this phase, eInfochips’ Cloud Solution Architect engages with the customer and discovers the scope, business and technical drivers for moving to the cloud. The cloud architect carries out a top down evaluation of 30+ attributes like performance, architecture, financial attributes, risks, operations, security & compliance, business criticality, etc. to understand the applications/workloads that can benefit most from early migration to the cloud.
- In this phase, the application complexity and potential benefits for cloud migration are finalized along with migration choice from Re-host, Refactor or Rebuild.
- In the second phase, which lasts for four weeks, first a technical assessment based on 20+ parameters like server sizing, network, database, security, compliance, VMs etc. is carried out. Migration strategy like Rebuild/Refactor/Re-Architect is decided after assessing the code base. Re-host compatibility evaluation is carried out by assessing the production replica environment using industry known assessment/migration tools. . A variety of AWS or Azure migration tools, along with eInfochips’ proprietary framework, is used for assessment evaluation. Total cost of ownership is also calculated in this phase.
- After the technical assessment, finally migration recommendations are provided to the customer. A detailed cloud assessment report covering cloud migration strategy and approach, cost, benefits, set of migration activities, plan, cloud consumption cost analysis and target high-level architecture is provided to the customer.
