Executive Summary
The client, a US-based tier-1 aerospace leader, was planning to launch its first wireless in-flight entertainment system for its business jet programs. The system required multiple features, including a unique user interface for passenger, cabin crew & maintenance, application for system configuration, software and content loading, interface for flight information, and ARINC-d/ARINC 429 messaging. The client required the system to support Wi-Fi connectivity for passengers and also provide multiple ground connectivity options via 3G/4G/LTE or Wi-Fi modems.
The client was looking for a partner having strong system software experience along with production and qualification testing. eInfochips helped the client with software design, development, and system integration of all the modules of the IFE system and also helped in the end customer release. We proposed a custom solution leveraging the existing infrastructure to cut down the development and labor cost.
