Executive Summary
The client is a billion-dollar diversified Japanese conglomerate engaged in construction, medical, housing, chemical, and urban infrastructure. For its smart home platform, it wanted to develop an emergency communication device to communicate with the operations center for elderly safety and security. The device should also integrate with the home camera system, Amazon Alexa, and should be equipped with advanced wireless connectivity options. Lacking in-house engineering competency, the client was looking for a partner with edge-to-cloud expertise and smart home experience.
eInfochips helped the client with wall mount edge communication gateway development – hardware, firmware development, audio activation, and Azure cloud enablement. The device provided voice message warnings and real-time emergency security alerts for the safety of the occupant.
