Executive Summary
The client is a Fortune 500 multinational conglomerate headquartered in Ireland and a leader in providing HVAC, fire, and security equipment. In the wake of a safe return to work and cyber security concerns, the client was looking to modernize the legacy 4-door access controller by re-designing the hardware control board with higher processing power and enhanced security.
Key requirements were to support multiple credentials, contact-less access, communication security and high-speed wired & wireless connectivity keeping the same PCB footprint. They were looking for a partner with core industry experience and expertise in developing IP-based access control hardware and software solutions.
eInfochips helped client with hardware & firmware development, BoM optimization, OSDP protocol security, Gigabit ethernet, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth/BLE connectivity and pre-compliance certification testing. Thereby allowing the client to re-use the existing cabinet and extend product life cycle.
