Executive Summary
The client is a US-based provider of satellite-based television, internet, and audio programming services, and caters to more than 13 million households. As a part of its Smart City roadmap initiatives, the client has an expanding network of connected devices, which are expected to grow into millions in the near future.
The client faced a challenge in remotely managing these devices over wide geographical areas, resulting in limited visibility into device status/health and frequent breakdown in device clusters. There was no integrated platform for managing these devices.
eInfochips helped in building an IoT Remote Device Management platform to securely onboard, organize, monitor, and manage next-generation, low power NB-IoT devices on the 5G network. This platform enables administrators to achieve comprehensive, near real-time visibility into device status across the network. The client can now control, configure, and authenticate devices and deploy firmware upgrades over-the-air (OTA).
